For anyone saying it isn't correct, wait for both hands together. I was shown this by Kenwood Dennard who is a polyrhythm master. Red text on one hand, Yellow on the other. It can help to know the exact notation/beat durations as well. You have a mix if dotted sixteenths, triplets, etc. 4:7 is similar. Great video.

This is the first time I've played 5/7! I didn't know it was this easy haha now my new problem is how to make a groove out of this. It's gonna be fun

The polyrhythm you're playing is pretty darn perfect. I think one problem with using a phrase for this polyrhythm is the tendency people have to square up the syllables onto "normal" beats, because otherwise it's difficult to actually get a feel for the polyrhythm. Great vid though!

I immediately tried snapping out the rythem with both hands and that "per" and "the" on the same hand tripped me up for a second but after that it was easy to learn the feel.

Glad I came across this.

Ive been seening alot of shorts about connecting polyrythms & syllables from words. I never really thought about doing this but man has it ever helped, its alot easier to visualize it when you connect words than just counting the beats.

I LOVE THESE RYHMES / VOCAL-MELODys!! Its ingenius, very much like how the Hindistanian Musicians approach there Rythms & very odd-groupings.
Plus I hope this Can help me Rehabilitate
atleast some of my polyrythmic feel again after a stroke durin first year of covid.
