I love Max's passive-aggressive responses to his dad's poking fun at him by adding text to the video instead of directly responding to him! The back-and-forth banter is as good as the cooking :)

Hi Sam! Hi Max! Hi Chance! Hi everyone! My husband and I are new fans of your show, and I am so glad we found you! I am so grateful that you share all your tips and tricks on becoming a better cook. Cooking is my passion but it is never too late to learn new skills in the kitchen, and you certainly have some fantastic ideas!

Today, Oct. 17, is my husband's birthday. His name is Clark. I am cooking steak and baked potatoes for dinner in honor of his birthday. Clark really likes the skin on his potato to be crispy. I have tried lots of different techniques and they have all been passable - coating the potato with oil and salt before baking - coating the skin with butter before baking - leaving the potato naked while baking - wrapping the potato in foil, etc., but the jacket is never quite as crispy as it is at our favorite steak house. Then I thought of all the videos I have watched of you deep-frying different foods! My question is this; Is there any reason why I couldn't plunge the already baked potato right into the deep-fryer for a minute or two when I pull them out of the oven? I have pierced the potatoes before baking them, but I am still wondering if the baked potato would become spud shrapnel once it is submerged in boiling oil. Why would this be any different than French Fries? Might you have an answer for me?

And I would love to give my husband the news that he won a copy of your book!

The only personal critique I would have is, I prefer the difference of the soft flour outer shell and the inner corn crunch shell. Still, another great episode guys!

Totally love your show. When I found out that Max was your son, it gave me a whole new appreciation for who you are and what you do. Keep up the good work Sam and Max!!! I have cooked about ten of your recipies and my family was blown away with each meal.

There was a “double decker” and then the “double decker supreme” - supreme was adding tomatoes and sour cream... you left out the most important ingredient, and I’ve seen you put together some nice sour creams!

This was one of my taco bell favorites. You should have donr a "grande soft taco" too. that was two soft shells with nacho cheese in between and it had double beef inside.

Well, it's "the whole is more than the sum of its parts", but whatever. I think I'd add a layer of cheese on the beans before closing up the sides. YUM! This looks so good!

My favorite at Taco Bell too( or was..) all u need know is about a cup of Taco Bell mild sauce to pour on top.👍🏾

Nice trick with the rod in the oven. Another option is to use the top rack of your grill or smoker. Using the grill or smoker, depending on the style of the shelves, you can make the hard shell as wide or narrow as you prefer. Enjoying the channel here in SC.
