I'm far from the first to cover this song, but I've always loved it so much and felt like I'd like to give it my own spin. Like "Holding Out For A Hero" on last year's remix release, I look this new remix EP as an excuse to take the challenge!

The subdued instrumentals are a contrast to the original. The original is a fierce rock ballad, while this cover is more like a eulogy and has a more somber tone. I think the somber tone works here to create a really moving cover.

I think this is the softest and most subdued I've heard this song done.

My 4 year old loves this song. It's gonna be awkward when she eventually listens to the words and I get to explain the lyrics and the context.

I grew up on the cranberries, so I had strong doubts about this cover as most, I find, don't do it justice, but this, I feel this does it justice. Does her justice.

OG will always be iconic.
Tommy Vext and Bad Wolves did an amazing job, and even made it their own in a way.
But what I really love about this cover is that as far as I'm hearing, none of the lyrics have been altered. It's softness is very reminiscent to the OG, which is another thing I really love. Dolores would be proud. ❤

I never really paid attention to or really noticed the lyrics of the original song beyond the 'in your head' earworm; your slower, more somber take made me really listen to the lyrics and IMO gave them the weight and tone they deserved. Excellent work as always.

Toning down the instruments to focus on the lyrics is the work of a genius. This is by far the most "custom" cover of the song that I heard that stayed true to the original song. The lyrics fit so well with your singing, love it.

This version works so well. Especially alongside stuff like the Bleeding Sun saga of Aviators albums, with their stories of a war-torn world. It's so profoundly somber and that's what makes it so moving

Coming back after the release of the full album I am not disappointed we needed an acoustic “silver grenade” and the rest of the remixes are amazing
