In this video, you will learn:

Complete combustion is when a hydrocarbon burns in plenty of oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water, giving out energy. Incomplete combustion is when a hydrocarbon burns in a limited supply of oxygen to produce water, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and soot. Complete combustion burns with a blue flame and releases more energy than incomplete combustion. Incomplete combustion burns with a smoky orange flame. The orange flame on a Bunsen burner is the safety flame.

We aim for you to get 100% in your exam by revising and learning with KayScience.
