The Antikythera machine can probably be considered an analog computer. the finest part of it was that it predicted moon phases, eclipses and planetary motion, which contrary to popular and mainstream academic narrative, meant that they knew the solar system was NOT geocentric, the planets from the stars(which implies they at least made the difference between the two astral bodies, and not necessarily WHAT they were), that most of all the earth was Spherical in nature, giving them, by extension, ample and extensive mathematical knowledge... So where did all that knowledge go during the Dark Ages(aptly named)? ... Why was it only some 600 years later that people suggested the earth was round and still be persecuted for the claim? it basically raises questions

I think the reason we are the "First generation" to get technologically developed is because ancient people can't record their history. There was no internet at the time.

What makes me wonder is...do you think this is the first of its kind? To have such a complex algorithm, you’d think this would have been made with generations of design/experimentation before reaching this level. Makes you wonder what else people of that time knew about the universe that we have yet to record and study in modern days.
