If the driver survived they should be charged with vehicular homicide. Time for consequences for all these reckless drivers out there

In off-road motorcycling there's a term - "Velocitized." It means the inability to slow or stop in time because mental momentum has taken over someone going at a high speed for a prolonged period of time. The rider/driver gets so lulled by that rate of speed that they simply forget to brake adequately. Of course drugs or alcohol would make falling into that mental state much more likely, but even sober it's a real danger. Years ago right there at that same Destination Daytona exit I used to walk across the entrance to the McDonald's and have cars barrelling down on me like a Big Mac was a fire extinguisher and they were on fire.
Remember that term...Velocitized.
