If Maradona was not suspended and not sent home from the 1994 World Cup, Argentina would have won the 1994 World Cup. Fernando Redondo, Gabriel Batistuta, Diego Simone, Claudia Cannigga, Ariel Ortega, Oscar Ruggeri, Roberto Sensini, Jose Chamot, and Abel Balbo. This is the first World Cup team that Maradona did not have to be the main man. He just had to sit behind the forwards pull the strings and spraying the football to everyone. I have a lot of respect for him to get back in shape for the World Cup. Look everyone dopes and other athletes do even worse. Lance Armstrong, Ben Johnson, Carl Lewis, most track and field, bodybuilders, boxers, cyclists, NFL football players, MLB baseball players and so on. Maradona was sent home because of ephedrine. Shit I even took ephedrine with caffeine and NoDoz while I was in the Marine Corps. It was a common practice and it was used to increase yours athletic performance and lung capacity. Arguably the greatest players of all time. FIFA robbed us and didn’t want Maradona to win the World Cup. That would make it three straight World Cup finals for Maradona. Maradona was hacked, butchered and tackled horribly while he played. By today’s standards these tackles will get you arrested and prison time. Fernando Redondo was my favorite player on the Argentina 1994 World Cup squad. The only football cleats I wore was Puma King because of Diego Maradona. You have to respect, admire Maradona discipline and drive to get in shape for the 1994 World Cup so quickly. RIP GOAT.

By the way I will support my national team Three Lions England to the death against any one. But we can all admire and marvel at Diego Maradona greatest.

This was amazing. I remember 94 was the first worldcup I watched and we were ecstatic about Maradona but just 2 games in he got suspended. It is crazy to see here that the federation could have saved him from suspension using the rule for the 2nd sample that was compromised. Everything could have been different
