Schecter Reaper Elite 6 - Bloodburst Demo - Orange Rocker 15 #schecterguitars #schecterlife

I recently got myself the Schecter Reaper Elite 6 in bloodburst and it’s one of the most beautiful guitars I’ve ever gotten to play! I’m incredibly blown by the articulation on the USA Schecter pickups it comes with, and the fact that it’s loaded with hipshot locking tuners and hipshot bridge makes it handle drop tunings like no other.

While the Schecter Reaper Elite 6 screams rock, it does handle other genres well and the pickups are super versatile. I will however, keep it tuned to drop C. In the video I played through my orange rocker 15 with the two notes captor 8 and the abasi pathos in front of it. All that into my apollo twin and pro tools.

some of those dissonate chords really made the difference in hearing how well these pups do. Seems like all strings cut through nicely. Thank you for the demos!

I have this guitar and love it to death. I will say, the pickup magnets are comically large, and you can tell when playing clean. High output is an understatement. Fretting is immaculate though hammer ons and legato feel super smooth. Just wish the whole thing had a satin finish.

What string gauges are you using for drop c? and how are the pickups for that tuning?

I've had my blue, floyd rose, sustainiac version for a few weeks and love everything about it except the high E string slips of the fretboard easily during pulloffs especially when pulling the second fret off to open E like when playing intro to Rush's Spirit of Radio. Does your high E slip like that?

The elite and custom blow away the og reapers. Gotta say with the elites coming in with red or blue and upgraded hardware you made right choice

How are you liking it? Any quirks or caveats? I might get the 7 string version. I'm sure the pickups are probably pretty hot but are they super compressed sounding or brittle at all?

I'm not too concerned cause I usually like Schecter's stock pickups but thought I'd ask anyway :P
