"3 Chunks of Wood and a Bunch of Tools I don't Own" would make a good t-shirt. As always your videos are informative and entertaining, keep up the great work.

Great vid! Thanks for showing my vid and that’s awesome you have the castle joint a try 👍 it’s definitely a fun joint

4:20 A swastika joint, it's going to hold together just as well as the Third Reich, which means it seemed like an interesting idea, but it's going to completely break and everyone's going to hate it and realize it was stupid from the beginning. haha

I'm not even into woodworking, but I can't stop watching your videos because of your personality.

Great video and thanks for debunking the strange ones! I like the castle joint. Btw, there is a depth stop option on the Makita chop saw (I have the same model), and when you use a block as spaces against the fence, you can cut dados with it. That does work rather well for small dados or half laps.

13:15 you can set the depth on my sliding miter saw, it has a bolt and locking nut that will set the depth and fine adjust it. Then you can mill pretty well with it.

Also, account for the width of the blade in full. You need to creep up on those widths, preferable to be too tight and sand it or scrape it out with a chisel, you can also put a slight bevel in on the corners and really jam it tight so it won't budge.

I like the 4 🐿️ out of 5 score. Whenever you do future builds or show how to build jigs or different joints you can give the audience the difficulty level by using squirrels.
1 squirrel= easy
2 squirrels= medium
3 squirrels= hard

I wasn't paying much attention to the second joint at first, so I assumed all those 2X4's would be half-lapped with the 4 dowels going through the center where the half-laps meet. I thought "that's actually a good joint in the right application. What's he talking about it being trash?"...
Then I saw the actual "joint". I guess I didn't suspect anyone would think that such a design would actually work, let alone post it after guaranteed failure.

I dunno...maybe he's new to this craft and is excited. But if so, it serves as a good example: people who are new to something, and excited about learning it, should not be teaching others how to do it.

Love the castle joint, built an outdoor table using the same joint on each of the legs, still holding up to this day with plenty of abuse!! Great video!!!

2 Tik Flops and 1 Tik Tok. During the first one my pucker factor was 110% so I could not even imagine what yours was!😮

That castle joint is sweet and I can see why Jordan's been wanting to use it in a project for so long. My vote would be for a pedestal table where you use a log/tree trunk as the upright and maybe logs cut in half for the top and bottom of the upright so the flat parts of the half logs are flat on the floor and underside of the table top. I hope that made sense 😅

@4:05- If you have a 25' board in a 20' room, you've got bigger problems.😂🤣😂

6:29 “No dude I need the drill bit”.
Is my son working in your workshop too? Because he’s the only person I could imagine bringing a drill with a dowel in it. 😂 😆

That castle joint was awesome! The planer "trick" - wow. That's dangerous on so many levels.

I still don't understand how the original video person actually thought that was easier than just running the board through the normal way

Even if that one joint works, I wouldn't feel comfortable having swastikas on all my furniture

You made the castle joint look so easy, definitely do a project for the channel

By the time you set up the planer to run, you could just run the board through and be done 🤷‍♂️
Dowel trick in joint, I assume the boards were glued first, then drilled out. Which would defeat the purpose of the dowels 🤔
Keep up the great videos, the whole team is fun to watch

Video idea
Pin the Tail on the Donkey … using the forklift … blindfolded
With verbal warnings of how close they are to the wall, sheet, whatever. But not left/right or up/down
