UNBOXING 20 foot telescoping flag pole harbor freight (INSTALLATION)

These 20 foot telescoping flagpole is a really easy to install and come in a nice compact box. It’s a little odd getting the flag taken down because you have to twist one segment at a time to take it down and put it up. In the video I show how this works, and so far we’ve been pleased with the result. We had one of these up before but lightning struck it and destroyed The joints and it would not go up and down. The price went down from about $150-$50 so we bought a new one and it didn’t take long to reinstall the new one. And now old glory is in its glory.

Thank you making this video. I am using two of these flag poles for a sun sail I am putting in my yard. I didn't think of the pvc pipe in the ground. Awesome idea!!

Can you tell me how wide the bottom of the pole is? I have an existing 2 " PVC pipe in concrete in the ground.

Thank you for your video. This cleared up some confusion as to the residential requirement of a flag pole for the US flag. I bought a 20' Telescopic flag pole but I had to dig about 26" for an insert sleeve which will take over 2' of my flag pole making it an about 18' flag pole. I guess I'll be okay. Now to go find a PVC sleeve at the hardware store.
Thanks👍🇺🇸

Just wondering if the instructions said take it down during thunder storms.

Why not just use the radiator clamp above the plastic piece to keep it from riding up?

How are the sections held in place and released for lowering?

Thank you for the video. I was going to do a music video and I wanted to add a larger flag to this pole 5' x 9.5'. Can I attach this size or is it specifically made for the 3' x 5'. Thank you.

I just picked one up today. Do you have to remove a screw at the top to be able to attach 2 flags?

Bought one of these yesterday at Harbor Freight. I see what you did with the string....I actually didn't use string, I pulled the flag tight and put a zip tie around the pole just above the plastic piece that holds the carabiner. Worked like a charm.

I noticed water when you pulled out the old flagpole which means there's probably not enough crushed stone on the bottom of the old pipe in the ground

I was looking at a large flagpole outside of a local auto museum about a week ago. I noticed that they had placed a small cord on that bottom ring, with a weighted piece of metal on it so that it provided the weight to make the flag remain taught as the flag flapped and moved on the pole. No long cord at all. The reason I even noticed it, was that the metal kept clanking against the metal pole as the breeze unfurled the large flag. I am thinking that a small string with some washers for weight could probably work, but just guessing, as I have not tried it out for myself, yet.

Thinking about buying one. But, I am thinking about just using it as a fixed (rather than a telescoping) flag pole. Any reason just adding a 1/4" rope pulley at the top and a dock cleat at the bottom wouldn't work? A couple of swivel eye hooks (maybe even 4 of them) and you should be in business for 1-2 flags. Using self taping screws to install the cleat might prevent it from ever telescoping again. But, that doesn't seem like an issue to me.

What size is that pvc pipe? I haven't bought the pole yet but wanna get all the stuff together before I start the project.

I just got my pole up, added the flag. the flag endes up wrapping around the pole the bottom part that you put on the flag is not moving freely, its like its to tight. and due to that the flag ends up wrapping around the pole.

What can i do to the bottom attaches so make it more free so the flag does not end up wrapping around the pole.

Will that flagpole fit in a 2" diameter PCV pipe

Have bought two and have had a problem with both of them trying to lower them they get stuck and you can't get it to contract. Im going to put hardware on for a traditional flag pole

Wait if there’s too much tension on the flags they will rip faster and easier
