How about, if you're no longer in jail/prison, you have all your rights.

I got relief from weapons under disability from a F2 Felony assault in 2004 and was given my gun rights back a year ago filed in Summit county. I went to buy a firearm at a FFL and was initially denied. I appealed it with the DOJ proving the restored rights. I was then able to be approved for my purchase. However I was still skeptical about transporting or possesing firearms. So I wanted to see if I would qualify for a CCW with the Summit county Sheriffs and was told i cannot get a CCW and I can not constitutional carry either. They were very vague in what they would tell me and actually rude to me. Not sure they even knew what they were talking about. So Im not sure where to go from here

So 16 years ago I had a nonviolent non-drug related felony that I did my punishment and probation in half the time and the docket said I was restored to all civil rights. I don't even know that I lost my rights to own a gun in Ohio necessarily. A lot of the things I read point toward you are allowed unless there's restrictions after being restored. Does anyone know the answer to this? Thanks so much in advance.

Sir I have a question about being a convicted felon in Florida 18-20 years ago for a non violent crime who now lives in Ohio what does all of this mean for me? Can I get my rights restored in Ohio or do I have to go through Florida? Thank you for being here for us. God bless 🙏✝️

How about helping people with misdemeanor domestic violence? It's odd how.a.fellon can get rights back but not a misdemeanor DV.

Don't think you're safe once you get them back. I went through the process and was cleared Federal bought a pistol and a shot gun at 2 different times in a 6 month period through an FFL and when I went to buy a bolt action rifle and was denied for no reason

Does the state of Ohio acknowledge pardons from other states?

you mentioned warren county being favorable toward non violent felonies firearms restoration. I've talked to a few lawyers who sounded like they flat out didn't want to mess with it. I reside in warren county and have a felony theft charge and would like to restore my rights. How does one go about this and what is the cost

In Ohio is your rights automatically restored after a sealing and or expungement of your records? Or is there more steps that need to be taken?

Hey, whats going on with Ohio Knife laws. Can I carry a Dagger and a pistol because sometimes using a knfe is quicker in self defense then using a pistol. And if so is carrying a dagger to lethal in the courts because it's a scary knife but a dagger will penetrate a thick coat in winter oppsed to a pocket lnife, bowie, etc. doess my questionake sense to to you? Carrying a long knife and a pistol~ Can you guys make a video because I don''t expect an email without it being cerified and c.o.d. your lawyers for cripe sake.

Everything sounds good except the part about machine guns. Why are we trying to vilify machine guns? Doing so makes it harder to overturn the NFA.

Get drunk 26 years ago got into with the older brother and still can’t own a firearm? Friggin ridiculous.

I might consider Restoration Provisions if they restore truth in sentencing laws. No deals with prosecutors and judges. what ever law you are convicted, you do the time the law demands for that crime.

My court document says "probationer is hereby discharged from probation/community control successfully and restored to ALL civil rights"

My question is, what does "ALL" mean? I've talked to an attorney before and they said it seems my rights were restored. But he didn't sound too confident. 🤔 I was going to him to expunge my record, and also hopefully restore my rights. Which is when he said my civil rights were restored. I search everywhere for if civil rights includes firearm rights but can't find a clear answer

A drug felony is 90 percent of people with felonies, i havent been in trouble in over 10 years. But mine where drug felonies. I never had violence in my record. I grew up with guns over 20 years of my life and took safety courses and everything, then i got in trouble. Now i cant hunt, or protect myself.
