Would love to see a range test with this Lightning in a Canadian winter

Some people forget that Ford already had an electric fleet pickup in the early 90's. It had a Siemens motor and drive in it. Those trucks were awesome.
They know what they are doing. They have stepped up their game and I can't wait to again drive an electric Ford pickup but this time have it in the driveway.

Nice overview that makes me want my own. Dad's point is something I share: many early EVs were made to look godawful and operate in non-intuitive ways. That appeals to a certain small subset of the population, but if we want EVs to go mainstream for the environment (and even better performance, low maintenance, and reliability), then why not make them look and operate the way vehicles should look and operate?

Great review & I 100% agree with your dad! I don’t want some stupid looking cyclops space vehicle. I’m definitely not cool with the wheels, but the rest looks great!

The range of the f150 lighting battery needs to be more or a build in charging system. I'm going to wait and see what they can come up better with the f150 lighting before I get one. And get all the bugs worked out of it.

This truck is a home run. Ford is doing some great things (Lightning, Bronco line, Mustang Mach E line)

This truck has been on my radar for a while. I love how cheap it is to fuel. I could do away with the frunk. Give me 400 lbs of more battery. I've been looking at what is required to use this as a whole battery vs a conventional battery. To get the same amount of battery power I need to buy 60-70K worth of batteries. Might as well buy the lightening and I get a truck included! Really excited about this EV truck sector.
