The most unbelievable part of this movie to me was that the American government didn't quietly take him in and keep him in an undisclosed location. Unlike the Spider-people, it didn't sound like he was trying to hide his identity or avoid capture. Dude was trying to find a new job and was in active communication with family and former coworkers. And, powers as funky as they were, it was still essentially portal teleportation.
