I’m from there. Every winter wind storms happen with rain too. You are at risk of home damage and property damage if there are ample very large trees around you. The one thing outsiders don’t know to do or beginner home owners in king county beyond Seattle don’t do, that causes disastrous outcomes for you or your neighbors, is getting your large trees in your yard inspected. It is an absolute must to get them inspected and encourage your neighbors to do so as well every 2-3 years. Inspecting trees and knowing if parts need cutting or if it’s in not great health is highly highly advised because those trees in not as great shape are typically the trees that fall. If wind storms happen, stay on the lowest level until it passes to avoid a deathly outcome.
