The 1982 version is my personal pick. The music is good, the animation is very well done for the time and I also think it does a better job of sticking closer to the source material then the other incarnations of the story.

The 1982 anime movie was own by paramount in America and the 1986 anime series was own by cinar and cookie jar in America while the 1939 film was by MGM and Warner Bros
