China's subsidy ends up with cheaper and better cars for consumers, America's subsidy ends up in bigger perks for CEO and top management.

As an engineer, I visited China a few months ago to attend a convention and I was astounded. They are already ahead of us in many key technologies and the gap is widening very quickly. We Westerners need to get our act together RIGHT NOW, because the Chinese are not slowing down, in fact they are accelerating ahead. If this continues within 5 years China will be soo far ahead we will not be able to compete.

After my trip, I finally realized why the media has to constantly lie to us about China. Because if they told us the truth, we'd see how much tax money our government and their corporate masters are wasting without any real benefits to the people. The Chinese government collects much less in tax revenue from their citizens and businesses, yet have to support a population of 1.4 Billion people, and is still able to provide at least 5x more benefits to their citizens than ours. I became REALLY angry at the government and it's lobbyists after I went to China, and that's when it clicked for me; THAT'S exactly why we are not allowed to be shown how well China is doing, it would foster way too much criticism and dislike for the ruling elites in the West. China's success is a major threat to our political establishment, and it doesn't matter what the Chinese do, their existence as a successful state will always be a threat our corrupt political systems.

You know what almost all the Chinese CEOs have an engineering background. All the U.S CEOs from finance. You know the differences.

So many negative and hate comments. Must have eaten sour grapes. Jealousy turns in to hate.

I saw one of this video in China where there is flooding in a multi storey car park. A car parked at one of the lower level of the car park detected the rising water alert the owner on his phone who is on a higher level within the building. All the owner did was 'informed' the car to drive to a higher level. The car self-drive to a higher level, 'looked' for an empty parking lot, parked itself and updated the owner of its new location! All this is done without any human interference!!! Think that is a BYD car.

China's technology is just crazy!

I guess people can’t really say made in China is junk any more? Or China is a copy cat? But how can they be a copy if they are a lot more advanced

Just back from a trip to China since they’re giving everyone visa free entries, and I’m astonished! 60-70% of the cars are EV in cities with 20M+ people. A 100% cashless society with everything integrated with smartphones. Self driving buses, robots delivering goods and food to hotel rooms that are fully “smart”(voice controlled lighting, TV, AC and curtains). And boy did I mention cleanness! Sparkle clean streets and huge malls without any trash, no homeless everywhere. We felt safe even at midnight walking outside. And hospitality of the locals was just mind boggling.

Glad to see this video telling the truth about China - it takes courage. Eye-opening. But many people can't face the truth.

China has established their dominance in EVs, they have entire supply chain inside China and if any country thinks they can manufacture EVs without using Chinese manufactured parts, and be competitive, they are absolutely wrong

I'm starting to appreciate China more and more. I almost feel ashamed for believing my own media. Are we the bad guys?

Recently, many people in the auto industry have slowly seen this trend in the development of the auto industry. These cars are not cheap products. Their design, configuration, quality and price have been tested by the global market. As a person who has been traveling between the East and the West for a long time, when I saw that most people in the comment area of this video have no understanding of China's development and have serious misconceptions, I just think they are pitiful. Your video may awaken some people to take the initiative to explore and enhance their cognition, but in fact, most people are used to enjoying the spotlight from all over the world as Americans, and do not want to really understand what is happening in the world. After reading a few anti-China media articles, they closed the webpage contentedly and held a negative attitude towards everything from China. This is really funny, but it doesn't matter. To be honest, many ways to make money and profits come from information gaps. Smart guys should have started to figure out how to use these information gaps to make money after watching this video, while idiots are still using ideology to paralyze themselves

It was nice to see the truck battery swapping. No bullshit, no talking, no politics, just do the thing and see if it works out in the long run. And everyone is so open to new tech and good ideas (even if from their competitors;).

I never understood why there is so much China bashing in the West by the politicians and the media. Now I understand.

I've been in China for close to a decade now. The country has made tremendous improvement in its air quality but it still has some way to go especially with interior cities. With all that said I love it here over Canada.

4:09 wow... that hurts... felt really bad for American tax payers who are subsidizing the EV transition but ending up fatten up share holders/exacutives and also paying more for fat old gas guzzlers.
