This song was a real gut punch when it started playing after the "farewell to fate" message and watching the video and seeing scenes from the first two hours of the game it feels like years since i played those early sections (even though it's only been about a month) and that to me is a sign of a fantastic game, the game literally felt like a journey and we joined our characters on that journey the whole way.

I’m 30. The only game to ever make me cry was Final Fantasy X when it released way back when. This game. This fucking game. Absolutely destroyed me. I was bawling at the end. Literally sobbing. All while fighting the final boss too. THEN I CRIED HARDER. The fact this game wasn’t even nominated for GOTY was the biggest pile of bullshit to happen to gaming. I’d love to see more of this story telling style :)

The way i took this song, was that its about both Joshua, and Jill. About what kept Clive going, even as his life burned down around him. About his friends, who he sought only to save and to find and avenge. That even though his flames almost consumed Phoenix's he'd always be there for his brother. In those final moments with Ultima, he thought about what kept him, him. And that looking up at the moon, he knew the answer.

This game is so beautiful. The characters are very well written, the combat is exciting to play, the story is so engaging. I laughed in some moments but I cried a lot. This game was a rollercoaster of hype and pain 5 seconds later. I hope the characters who weren't confirmed dead are still alive. Thank you Yoshi-P and to everyone who helped making this beast of a game.
