This story is a limitless tragedy. Clearly the first time she’s encountered a man who doesn’t succumb to her siren song. They both retreat, but she’s overcome with overwhelming fascination.
Could this man love her?
A warrior and a deity intertwined by a strange fate in the forest. But alas, they simply have no hope of coexisting. In likely her first ever attempt to show true affection, she draws blood simply by kissing him. She’s forever bound to her sunken shrine of the countless men she’s killed. He’s overcome by the greed of his inner conqueror. He defiles her
and strips her of her beauty. She pulls him to a watery grave in her anguish and despair. The tragedy of this story is their mutual destruction of one another. Two predators consumed by themselves. This is true, undiluted art. The sort of creative expression that captures the inexpressible musings of the human psyche. I hope this wins the awards it deserves.

This might be hands down one of the best episodes of this series so far. Wouldn’t be surprised if they win another emmy

I don’t see why this episode wouldn’t win an Emmy.
This is hands down ( in my opinion ) the best episode in the series.

Jibaro is a masterpiece. Straight and simple. I mean, beyond the superb technicalities featured in this episode, this beautiful story can be read at mltiple levels. Simple impossible love story? Check. Allegory of the spanish colonization of Latin America? Check, reminiscent of Aguirre. The myth of sirens? Check. Metaphor for humankind's abuse of nature? Check. And so forth. I couldn't help but watch in awe, totally silent, mouth wide agape, this powerful, absolutely splendid animation. This is art, ladies and gents, in its purest form. It's difficult to do better than that. Bravo to the crew who produced this chef d'oeuvre.

This episode made me feel uneasy from the first frame, but I just couldn’t take my eyes of the screen. Simply awesome!

One of the things I like about this episode is that the siren does not die. She is damaged, grieving and defiled, but she will learn lessons from her experiences and rebuild her golden armor from those she has slain. I pity the next deaf man who comes to her lake.

... I was, absolutely, blown-away with this masterpiece. The rendering, physics and assets that are indistinguishable from their counterparts in reality... are but half-the-story. The music and motion-capture from the actors elevate the second-half into a pure-state of animated transcendence...

Couldn't take my eyes off this episode.. pure art. I particularly enjoyed the music & dance. So beautiful. You can almost feel her pain at the end from being just by her movements.
