I thought one reason to fast was to destroy poorly functioning mitochondria so the pieces could be recycled.

Have you ever done any videos on what you yourself do in regards to diet, exercise etc?
E.g. What’s the overall composition of your diet? What are some typical meals? Do fast at all or practice time restricted feeding? What (if any) supplements do you take? I’m sure your viewers would find it interesting if you haven’t already done something like that. Thanks!

Hi Nicholas – I love your work and I’ve been especially focussing on your work on mitochondria. I was an athlete, but about 2 years ago I developed long covid which is characterized by mitochondrial dysfunction. Normally, as you often say, exercise is an excellent way to improve mitochondria health. However, a recent Nature study showed (as many with the condition already knew) that metabolic and mitochondrial dysfunction in long COVID patients worsens with post-exertional malaise. So other than exercise, what are some other things I can do to improve my mitochondrial health?

Nobody uses supplements during fast.Sinclair takes supplements itm with Greek yogurt during intermittent fasting

Why is everybody so focused on fasting like it's a one size fits all cure all. The effects of fasting and not arbitrary, everybody has different metabolic rates. If I don't eat for 3 hours, I get really dizzy and nearly pass out, so fasting is not possible for me. But I'm still very healthy because I exercise and look after myself. I think the whole fasting thing stupid and unhelpful, as are all arbitrary guidelines, everybody's different and everybody needs to do things in their own specific way to be their best self.
