"And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’ ” Luke 5:39

Amen
Those with the acquired taste for old covenant ceremonies and traditions of the Pharasees loathed to give them up for the new wine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The new has come
rejoice in the goodness and mercy of our God.

brother the message you shared today, was one I needed to hear. if you only knew how I needed that. I've had diabetes 42 years, I was diagnosed at 7, my kidneys shut down at 22, I've had 3 strokes, 2 have been within 12 months, 2 major heart attacks this year, this past month or so, I've wanted to give up, last night was extremity difficult to go on. I know that God has given me so much bonus time, that there's gotta be a plan for me. I am grateful for all of my days, and the longer i have, brings him glory! mentally and physically is soooi hard. please pray for me. God bless you

Comparison is the root of unhappiness. It is linked to insecurity and fear. It's the idea that some people are better than you and some people are worse than you. After all, the only way to compare is to lift some and diminish others. If some people are better than you, then there are certainly some that are worse than you.

The disciples ran into this problem too, who will be Top Dog after the Master goes? We can always romanticize about a time and place, and while true or perceived to be - it may have been a special time/era/season for us who measure nearly everything.

But what if we are called for such a time as this? Do we complain and grumble? Or do we with blinders on go forward and carry out God's will and ways? We cannot put ourselves and long for a time we have never known, experienced or been to. It wasn't for us to know. We can only give thanks for the time we are in and what God does in and thru us now.

In who’s eyes? “ he is not worshiped by human hands as if he need anything” Acts 17:25 the Haggai 2 temple may have been nothing in man’s eyes, but What about in God’s eyes?

It's so easy to puff one selves up when in reality there is no reason to do so because there could be a big letdown. Better to be humble
