#FemaleForward Wendy Philander - South Africa

Wendy Philander is currently a
member of the Western Cape Provincial
Parliament, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. She also serves as the Chairperson for the
Western Cape Health Standing Committee.
She says her passion and desire to serve is related to
changing and transforming the landscape of
women in politics.
"I believe in a fair and just society. In a society where opportunities are ample and where the
platform is created especially for women to be empowered in order for them to discover their full
potential." In her #FemaleForward video, Wendy adds that she would like to live in a society where the role of women in leadership positions "is non-negotiable".
