Those old 7.3 PowerStrokes are tough as nails. Glad to see someone giving it another chance. Subbing to see more. Peace.

My first truck was a 1995 7.3 Powerstroke. The truck sat 3 yrs. towed it home dropped 2 fresh batteries in it & it started right up instantly. It leaked fuel everywhere, but she ran.

Mine was sitting in a farm garage for 10 years with a camper on the back of it and it started up on the fifth try.

Those 7.3 diesel engines are damn near bulletproof. Mine has 359 K miles and zero problems since new.

I bought a 94.5 that sat for 10 years, I am learning a lot about the 7.3.

Never seen "ol PEG" hook up a computer to tell him he's out of fuel...😂

Haven't read through the other comments and don't know if it was mentioned, but those solenoids are notorious for going bad. People jump them all the time. There is a two-prong connector for the glow plug relay. You definitely had a tach signal because you could see the needle bouncing as you were cranking it. That starter was really getting a workout lol 😅

Hi all, love the cooking oil use, as I used to run my old 1991 Landrover turbo diesel (as most are in the UK) on %50 diesel and %50 new cooking oil, but added a good "Splash" of petrol (ok gas) to it all to stop it getting too thick in winter plus it made it run very well.. try a "splash" of Gas in your truck maybe.. It's an old truck driver's tip here... Diesel prices in the UK have gone crazy also now at £1-87 per litre = to £8.20 a UK gallon.. stupid prices, sadly my newer Landrover Freelander turbo diesel with its factory fitted BMW engine dont like other fuels so Im stuck paying pump prices.. Anyway it is what it is eh.. Thanks for the video - Ian - UK.

Y'all had a lot of faith in that starter. Shoulda popped that fuel filter cap off and looked in there to see what was happening. Also for future reference if you're gonna spray starting fluid unplug the two prong plug on the glow plug relay. It disables it until you plug it back in.

Those engines don’t die. I had a camper that had a 7.3 in it and it sat for a year or 2 and all that had to be done was charge the battery and it started it did need new glow plugs tho
