My Pressure King Pro pressure cooker was faulty so I bought the Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer 2 years ago and loved it but I wanted a separate air fryer as well so I bought this a year ago and it's great, I now have the Instant Vortex Plus VersaZone 8.5L as well, I use the two air fryers every day and only bring out the Instant pot if we have visitors or I need to pressure cook, my regular oven is now a storage cupboard for my air fryer recipes and my toaster is in the shed as the toast from an air fryer is so much better, and as you said they are also great for baking scones cakes etc, the rack is a crisper tray, great review ladies, I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do, I used to watch your videos regularly but somehow I haven't been getting the recommendations for them so I'll need to catch up

We have a small household and I have an Omni airfryer oven (only because our oven died during COVID) as well as the regular Vortex airfryer which I use at least 4 times a week. There is nothing better, by the way, for reheating leftovers. As intrigued as I am with the new dual model, its just too big for my small kitchen. My Omni/oven is currently in storage for emergency use. I found it confusing to have to remember when to install or remove the big metal tray depending on what cooking method I was using. Also had to have one of the racks replaced because it would fall out if I pulled it out even slightly to remove food. To their credit, Instant replaced it quickly with no hassle. They do stand behind their products.

Would be great if you linked what you're reviewing. Can't find that model on amazon? Visually looking for it.

Thank you for the review. Off topic question…… What brand is your microwave oven that is above your wall oven? I have the same set up, but my microwave (GE) does not have air vents in the stainless frame. There is nowhere for the hot air to escape, and it causes the microwave to have lots of condensation and run for several minutes “after” the food is done cooking so that the microwave can cool down. It drives me crazy. I would like to replace it. Thank you.

Unfortunately l had to return all 3 models of Instant Vortex air fryers I purchased. The plastic smell was awful and lingered for a whole month in place. Hopefully you didn't have this issue.

I settled on the Ninja Dual Zone 8 qt. No plastic smell at all right from the get go.

I recently purchased this exact same air fryer, and while I'm happy with its overall performance for cooking, the basket design is questionable when it comes to the window. After only a few uses, I noticed condensation forming on the inside of the window. I emailed instant about this, and they're sending me a new unit under warranty. I decided to partially disassemble the basket, and the way this thing is sealed does not give me a lot of confidence. After washing the basket in the sink before I disassembled it, the inside of the window was loaded with water drops. Maybe I got a one off manufacturing flaw, but I'm thinking more like this is a design issue. I'll be curious to see if the replacement basket I'm getting has the same type of problem.

Peace be with you! Thank you for this product review. From my experiences with Air Fryers, I'm currently using 2 - 8qt Basket Style Air Fryers and formerly owned an Air Fryer Oven, All are not suitable for my needs. The baskets in my 8qt Air Flyers are just approx. 10 inches square. Their max temp is only 400 degrees. I only purchase 2lb bags of French Fries, Chicken Nuggets etc. They're been use for our ministry at church. We have to prepare foods quickly. I've found that an Air Fryer Basket when completely full does not evenly cook its food. Usually, I try to go no more than 2 - layers of food deep. Additionally, some foods require temperatures greater than 400 degrees. There's a product available, Typhur Dome, air flyer which features a wide Tray, as opposed to a Deep Basket, can reach temperature of 450 degrees and offers Self-Cleaning. I have not purchased it because it is pricey however, again for my purchases, the Typhur Dome might be the better option.

So the instant pot vortex air fryer isn't a pressure cooker at all?
