What great IS NOT BAD. HARD THINGS ARE OFTEN FRUITFUL. Your boys are the way they are because you and Miah have molded them that way. Imperfect? Certainly. Intentional and glorious, absolutely!

I three minutes into this video and choking up. Homeschool has been wildly difficult for us lately, both finding routine in the madness of building a house and homestead as well as in the push/pull of the mother son relationship. Reframing the hard as important, delicious and worthy is so so important. Thank you for sharing that it can be both hard AND worthwhile!

What an incredibly wonderful homeschool plan you guys have for the 3 little boys. Teaching and provide your children tools on how to be successful independent adults in life.

I just about fell out of my chair when Miah said, “kid you ain’t right”! That’s what my Granddaughter tells my brother in law! It’s so funny to hear!

One of my best memories was in elementary school-we got to have a tiny garden and we grew garlic. We got to walk a short distance to the general store and our teacher bought French bread and cheese and we went down to the nearby creek and ate our raw spicy garlic with our cheese and bread. It was so fun and so good. ❤❤❤

Thank you for the giggles and glimpses of quality time spent harvesting and resetting beds with Miah! It's so rewarding to grow food but especially when you can do so alongside your best friend ❤

Will add Jerusalem artichoke to our perennial garden!

Oh Jess, when you came out with the “that’s what she said” at the same time I said it in my head my mouth fell open and my love for you went to a whole new level which I didn’t even think was possible. I also like your perspective on “hard things are good” and…that’s also what she said 😂😘

I tried to get my students out of the mindset that something is “hard”. Some things may be challenging but they have the skill set to solve a problem/activity. Made for a more enjoyable lesson and we had fun seeing the variety of ways to solve the problem.
