Exploring Athens - Part 3

This is the continuation of the Explore Athens series. In this video, I take you on a tour of Athens watering holes and markets. The city is vibrant and colorful, and you bump into famous historic sites at every corner. The food and the night scene in Athens are super vibrant, especially around the Monastiraki neighborhood. Athens also has great markets around the Monastiraki square neighborhood. The leather slippers are very unique to Greece and available in these markets. Famous fashion designers have been inspired by these shoes and have incorporated these designs into their lines.

The food scene is nice, but I felt it was a bit touristy. But still, the food was delicious, and the greek lager beers are yummy!!!!! I also discovered a great ice cream store that doubles up as a cafe called Zillions. There are quite a few of these around Athens. I happened to meet the owner of Zillions, a really nice man. The pistachio ice cream is my favorite.

Visited a store called the Duckling. The entire concept of the store is around ducklings. It is unique, and it's in the Monastiraki square neighborhood, so a must-visit if you are there. They have very trendy and really nice T-Shirts.

And the last place I visited was Ipitou The Bar. It's a super fun place and is owned by a very cool guy called Yannis. You will see him in my video. It was fun to hang out with him at his place.
