Genetic Algorithms - Inspiration and Working!

Genetic algorithms are nature inspired optimization algorithms. It offers several advantages over traditional optimization schemes. The binary genetic algorithm is one of the oldest available genetic algorithms. It's well suited to solve discrete optimization problems efficiently. It especially excels in problems where the task is to find a global optima in a search space with multiple local optima. The use cases for genetic algorithms are ever-increasing. Currently genetic algorithms are being explored as alternatives to gradient descent in machine learning. The code and this video act as stepping stones to enter the world of bio inspired optimization.
