The 2025 Toyota Camry is now available for order, with prices starting just under $40,000 before on-road costs. While this is an update rather than a completely new model, the Camry now features a larger body and the latest fifth-generation hybrid system. Toyota has completely eliminated the petrol-only version, offering only hybrid options from now on. Around 70% of these Camrys are expected to go to fleet sales, with the remainder aimed at buyers who still prefer sedans over SUVs.

The pricing for the 2025 Camry starts at $39,990 for the base Ascent model, with the Ascent Sport priced at $42,990, and the top-of-the-line SL going for $53,990 before on-road charges. This new Camry is the first in Australia to feature Toyota’s updated hybrid system, which combines a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric motor for a total output of 170 kW. This results in improved power and efficiency, with a claimed fuel consumption of just 4.0L per 100 km. The car is powered by a 4.0Ah lithium-ion battery and uses a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) with front-wheel drive.
