Tombstone, AZ is known internationally as a cowboy/western community that dubs itself "The Town Too Tough to Die" but there is more to this destination if you get off the main tourist drag. St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Tombstone occupies the oldest Protestant church building in Arizona (1882) and is also the only one in the world that is constructed of adobe using a Gothic Revival style.

It was nice to not only see my house, but also to see my old cedar closet in use! Thank you!
I've always wondered exactly what year the wooden bell tower was destroyed by lightning. There's so much fascinating history in Tombstone aside from the Earp's 18 month stay. Nellie Cashman, Mayor Clum, China Mary, etc are all worth checking out.

In some respect, the church in Tombstone is a cornerstone, and murder may continue to entertain, but the real hero is the magnificent, unforgettable rose "bush" of peaceful fame.
