Unrolling and feeding hay

I take some late baled mature hay on trade for hauling hay every year from a neighbor. I feed it during the growing lull in august to my cows in area's where the pasture need more help. I dont use a bale ring because I want the cows to leave some soiled hay in those area's, and being its mature hay, the seed heads actually germinate, this method not only improves the soil fertility but it also brings in new grass varieties! Be are in the process of converting woods to a wooded pasture and I have found this to be the best way to get new grass established!

Would have been nice to see it in operation. So, never saw if it worked. Maybe post a video of getting a bale and then feeding it out.

Mr. Judy, I've wondered if in the future we find a good used ATV for sale, what would you suggest for an ATV strong enough to haul hay like this? Any recommendations?
