It appears that being a kid star is linked with a more challenging adult life. Although this is not always the case, many child stars and actors/actresses have met untimely ends, frequently at a very young age. Young people don't appear equipped to deal with the pressures of fame. On occasion, you'll encounter somebody who appears to be able to successfully manage the pressures associated with widespread public attention. But it's terrible how often you hear about former kid stars who went crazy as adults. If they were never famous, we frequently wonder what kind of person they would be. What if their parents had said no when they were young and had their first shot at the entertainment industry?

It might be heartbreaking to find out that a beloved actor or actress from a film or TV show met an untimely end. There are several instances where this is the case, for instance, Heather O'Rourke.
Young actress Heather O'Rourke shot to fame after appearing in the original Poltergeist (1982) and went on to star in both of the film's sequels, Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1985) and Poltergeist III (1990). (1990). As O'Rourke's doctors had mistakenly diagnosed Crohn's disease just months before filming began on the third film in the series, this was the last film she would ever complete in the franchise. It was too late by the time the wrong diagnosis was figured out.
She went into cardiac arrest after an unsuccessful attempt to remove the obstruction through surgery due to septic shock. O'Rourke, only 12 years old, tragically lost his life during the procedure. Another favorite child actor was River Phoenix. Joaquin's late sibling became a famous child actor after making his first major cinematic appearance in Stand By Me. At the time, it appeared that this performer was destined for Hollywood stardom. Sadly, River's drug use skyrocketed during this time, and on October 31, 1993, at the age of 23, he died of a drug-related heart attack.
