EPISODE 1: THE CALL TO ADVENTURE

In this episode, we explore the first few days of the journey out of Nairobi, and flesh out the backstory of the trip.

'Across the Threshold' is my retelling of a journey I undertook between April and June 2016, as I joined two photographers to document their travels through Kenya and Ethiopia.

I was 20 at the time, and the trip was the greatest challenge I had yet undertaken, pushing me to the limits of my ability physically, mentally and technically in the craft of filmmaking.

With the future of the original project 'Lights, Camera, Africa!' uncertain, I've decided to look back at the footage, and assemble a cohesive story therein, retelling my journey in a confessional style.

It's my hope to share with those watching the startling insights into Ethiopia's culture and history I encountered along my journey, as well as outline the transformations I underwent during the voyage, and the lessons I learned along the way.
