The United Nations, as a global entity, should be - must be - supported and strengthened. Otherwise, BRI becomes, de facto, its replacement. The UN is a vehicle to keep everyone at the table, so to speak, and to provide the opportunity for balanced interests. BRI is obviously weighted in one direction, which is problematic in terms of keeping everyone at the table (not possible, since BRI is regional), and also very problematic in terms of maintaining or providing the possibility for balanced interests. USA, meanwhile, must discard its incredibly foolish "Me First" nationalism fantasy, which is self-defeating and counter productive (not only for USA, but for all of global geopolitics - i.e., the UN).
