G'day guys! Today we doing a review/comparison on the Hi Lift jack, also known as a Kangaroo Jack. These jacks have been around for a long time, and as common as flies around the BBQ. Back when I was younger Hi Lift was the only brand selling them, but now there seems to be a whole bunch of companies selling there own version. So in this video we take a quick look at the Hi Lift and one of its cheaper competitors to see if there is any real difference.

As always, it helps us out heaps if you can give us a like, and be sure to subscribe if you want to see more tips and tools to help you get outdoors. Real world camping, reviews and tips from an average guy, with an average budget.

We have also started a patreon account. Our hope is that with some extra funding we will be able to bring you more reviews and remain unaffiliated and unbiased.

QUESTION? Feel free to suggest an item to review, or any other videos you'd like to see.

Video recorded with a Sony Nex-6 camera, and edited with Davinci Resolve 14 on a PC laptop.

In my limited experience around where I live in Pennsylvania, the genuine hi-lift jack actually was CHEAPER than other versions at Tractor Supply and Harbor Freight. There is just no justification for not choosing the real deal (in my situation). Nothing against the other two. They seem to be very stout and built well and are very good copies. I own all three because I’m just the type of person who is bored and has nothing better to do so I can speak to all of them. I’m just saying that if you can only get one, and you’re depending on it with your life and your vehicle, and with no financial advantage to the competition, it just makes sense to get the original highlift jack.

Thank´s for the honest compare. I'll go for he original. You want a tool that is working for you when youn need it – not only when it is brand new.
