Whonix is a VM-based tor-enabled distro to help keep you private online. This is a good distro to keep on your virtual machine for quick anonymous internet searches.

You should use the CLI whonix as your gateway and XFCE version as your workstation. It saves on system resources that way.

Whonix is designed to use the Tor network exclusively, so I see no reason to install additional unrelated software, like gimp for example.

On noscript you need to put it on untrusted so it can block all scripts or you can also use the option on the tor browser to put the security at max so it also disables all scripts

Tom. On Tails orWhonix, I think in some occasion, if the script doesn't report stuff, the browser will let the script run, but if the script does something that leave any doubts. it will be blocked. When I use Tails, sometime the scripts are blocked and sometime they are not blocked.

Sometimes when I open Tor is takes minutes to start, I opened it from the terminal and found out it was getting stuck on Refreshing local keyring..., the process will just sit there with no window.

Yeah, you can't log into anything if you want to remain anonymous. Even the java-script can find your real IP

Does it support UDP packets? Tails do not support it, but UDP is crucial in some network scanners and others tools

On elementry ive downloaded and installed virtualbox and it opens, so i import my whonix download and it seems to install but both the gateway and workstation seem to stalll out and i only end up with a grey square box with blank black interiro and it never finishes the process of install a desktop environment on eith gateway or workstation anf yes i did install xfce version as im a virtualbox and whonix nembie

Hello, I have setup all ans its working fine, but i wanted to use my external usb wfi card in fact i have 2 but plug ine at the time, i have the alpha network and panda usb- so i tried to changed the whonix to grab the usb card so i can use kali linux to do my pentest and seems not to grab it, would bw using it for packet injection but not working it keeps kicking it off, any suggestion or guidance would be appreciated thanks

I have a question. If I download Whonix and everything I need to run it, will I be able to uninstall it at a later date should I want to do so?
