You're a great father man. I've been watching since you wide bodied the MR2 yes you could call me og. But you've been the father most kids dream of. Man my father would tell at me at tell me to get away from the tools. So needless to say I've had to teach myself and figure things out. Keep being the rad father you are.
Also the manifolds came out really good for your first time. You've always inspired me to do things I've never thought of trying. Thank you. Keep killing it. 🤘

Watch the engine masters episode where they literally smash headers flat and then dyno them. It didn’t make a difference. So whatever you come up with should work great. Good job brother.

Fun to watch. Without the cash for a 3D printer, I did the same using electrical conduit. I determined the radius of bends desired and cut the conduit accordingly. Initially, it takes a long time but saves a lot of time in the end. My first header (ever) came out with 24 pieces, one inch each. I scribed the ends of each piece and drilled at least 2 holes in them, then dropped a staple in to connect 2 pieces. Then I covered it with tape to hold the staples.
Starting with the most distant cylinder, once done, I ran the others to match the length for equal length headers. Key was to make a jig representing the start and end points. Easy to do in wood. With the first mock up header done in staples and tape, I removed the staples and tape and added conduit glue. The second header went super fast. I just cut and glued the pieces to mirror the first set. I got a perfect mock up first time at a cost of three 10 foot conduit pipes. About $30 or less including the glue. I also made clamps easy. It just took a little time using galvanized fencing wire. I made 6 clamps. They allowed me to Tig. Overall, it seemed daunting and slow initially but I saved a lot of bucks and once I saw how simple and precise it is even for a first time, I am so glad I took the time.

Thanks for doing this with a MIG. TIG is wonderful. It does a beautiful job, but MIG is much more accessible and you've taken some of the mystery out of this for noob car guys. I don't always like your builds, but I always enjoy watching the process and your progress.

This is the first time since I've subscribed to your channel a couple years ago that you have posted at night. I feel like this video was set to upload at a certain time and you selected p.m. instead of a.m. on accident. Either way thank you Caleb I love when you post a video no matter the time.

I can appreciate this as I am an old Interior Trim Carpenter. I'm well versed in 22 and 1/2 - 45-and 90 degree angles and turns. I built a lot of beautiful staircases. Many were seen in the Southern Homes and Gardens as well as Southern Living magazines. Great Job Bud !!

Great work and patience on your header build! I like the more detailed voiceover sections of the video. It felt more engaging then listening to you before or after time lapses and it was nice being able to compare what you said to what you were currently doing in the video.
Also, overall encouraging video. 👍

Always good to expand your repertoire! I would suggest getting yourself a large plate of aluminum as a heatsink to secure your flange to while welding to minimize your warping.

I am curious about the scavenging of the exhaust Gases. A standard collector has all the tubes meeting at one point but they all go the same direction into the collector. The homemade collector looks like the tubes will be canceling each other out as Gases come in from 4 different directions and crash into each other. I give you a 10/10, you set out to do something with zero experience and you came away with a complete set of headers. Absolutely righteous and absolutely ingenuitive on the collector. I built my first set of headers last year, fenderwell exit for an F350 and it was a pain in the ass but your situation made me say... hell no, this man is the DIY peoples champion!!

Just watch out for back pressure on the silver one! That will be a rought turn for the gasses, they need to flow like a river man hahahahah

You say about what you didn't like with the first try, just think of it as a way to do better the next time. I think it's cool that you point this stuff out, if you didn't 1/2 of us wouldn't even notice. I think that's part of what makes you such a LEGEND!

First off, I commend you on tackling this project on your own. That said, this right here, is an accurate depiction of why things like this cost so much. Your comment "this is where skill and experience comes in" says it all. When you look at something like a header that costs $1000 for someone to build, this is why.
