Roll axis Gimbal Onboard

iNav CAMSTAB servo gimbal. Stand-alone setup with Omnibus F4 V2 board (or as my wife calls it Ominous board) on ME BF110, and iNav connected switchable setup with Matek F411 board on FX-61 wing.

I built a old foggie style plane (out of packing foam)to fly in the snow here in Colorado and the tail broke just like the Messerschmitt. Great video footage. Awesome video as usual.

Very nice outcome... the Messerschmitt BF 110 what can I say, there will be times that go like that, I know I have plenty of them. The overall outcome was fantastic. Congrats on getting it all figured out and thanks for leaving the Messerschmitt in the video, far too often things that don't go right get edited out. Thanks again Andrew.

I always take my HK reinforced tape to the field.
The 110 would have been flying again in about 10 mins.

Neat, now keen to see it in a roll. I remember when they put in on the MotoGP bikes and it made them hard to watch but that not happening on your plane in both modes.

I have an Arduino and an accelerometer board - am now tempted to have a go at the roll axis gimbal.

Nice works very well, and I would say especially on wings which are usually very twitchy. Seems to keep the video nice and level while the wing twists and turns lol. Very nice demo. Happy Flying

I really like the perspective, looking forward to some epic editing with multiple camera angles/stabilization. ( By the way, the thermal glider is done! Maiden tomorrow....fingers crossed)

The Messerschmitt split. I would have rathered a front view but the camera worked awesome. Now all that’s left is to put the roll stabilizer on your pan/tilt 🤔🤩

That's looking really nice now, good work! One thing I wondered about was whether something like 'acro' mode (damping out uncommanded roll movements but not leveling with the horizon) would be possible? That's what spoils most fixed-wing HD footage for me ... twitching about in roll.
