You have to give it to the kid in the second story. He figured out his situation and successfully saved himself and his family from that santa dude trying to break in, all while being a 7 YEAR OLD! He is so smart for that age. Props to him.

With the second story, even though I was furious that the 911 operator didn't take the call seriously and the mom was out cold during the whole crisis, I have to applaud the genius move to get help the brother made from that same story!

The candle idea in the second story was genius for a seven year old. They realized what resources they could and couldn't utilize and figured out a way to get help regardless.
