Watching on my Surface Go 3 tablet! My 1st Go device and 2nd Surface tablet. I like the combination of well made and small. There are advantages to having a small device that still a full PC. Nice to see MS continue with a small clamshell laptop.

I have the first version of this laptop. Upgraded the ssd to 512gb. I do wish this second version had 16gb of RAM and a backlit keyboard. Another good thing about these surface devices is how easy it is to reinstall windows. Since it comes from Microsoft, no need to hunt for the right drivers.

Tried one and really like it. One minor thing, no micro sd for local back--up. Feels quality yet is not heavy. Great for performance (i5 8Gb) and portability (12" 1.1kg).

Thanks for the video. I was holding out for the new model hoping it would have a backlit keyboard and better display. With the previous model being $150 off at Best Buy, may as well just grab that one. There are better laptops out there for the same price MS is asking for this new model. MS still trying to sell a 4GB model for $600 is insane.

I have the SL Go 2020, and to be honest i regretted buying it back then, but i changed my mind this year. I got it because it looked and felt good, love the premium compact feel and keyboard, and i got a great deal on the 8gb one. When i got it last year the fans would be on all the time, even to watch YouTube or browsing the internet it was annoying, even when closing down the laptop to put away you could hear the fans still on for a few minutes, so i would not use daily. Updating to windows 11 did no fix anything, however this year 2022 there was an update and after that it seems like the fan and heat problem i was having was fixed, its quiet now. I dont game on this, is strictly for office/web browsing/video watching, and it does great.I mostly use in close clam with a screen and works fine with $20 type c hub. I only use type c to charge, have never used the actual charger which sucks so bad, the magnets and stuff make it annoying to use and connect without looking at it. I would recommend to buy the 2020 model, i seen the 8gb 120gb like new used for $250-$300, great deal for this type of computer. The backlight keyboard is the only heart and knee breaker of this laptop, the only thing from making this the perfect on the go budget friendly high quality laptop. If you have the budget go for a MacBook Air.

Returned my surface laptop go because the fan sounded like a jet engine. The battery life was not good, slow charging speed. Built quality was excellent tho.

Instead of touchscreen, Microsoft should’ve put a higher resolution screen or backlit keyboard.
Don’t need to put touchscreen on every device with a surface branding.
