Bought this car brand new nearly 3 years ago. It is absolutely fantastic, smooth and very powerful and the best thing is i hardly ever fill it up!

I think there will be a lot of circumstance that will make this car pretty ideal and you get the supreme Toyota reliability . I like its look inside and out. 40 miles (ish) electric range is good too.

The drivetrain (transaxle) on this car is the P810, same as in the Highlander and Sienna.
This car does not (technically) compare to Prius, Corolla or even the standard RAV4 Hybrid.

Really interested to know what the actual cost of a plug in hybrid v normal hybrid actually is as its really annoying how much more car makers are asking for a PHEV. It just writes off the cost saving of a plug in and 50k for a Rav 4 is just a joke.

I've been looking at these since they were launched itn the USA, had prices months ago from my Toyota dealer, ridiculous pricing.
We're sticking with the 2019 Hybrid Excel for now until the bz4x is out, hopefully the specs and pricing will be okay.

Can you use the car heater without the engine running? If not it isn't much use in cold countries. This can be asked of all PHEV`s

I appreciate DrivingElectric posting this video with their review but I don't appreciate Toyota's performance. The video states that the RAV4 PHEV starts at about £50, 000 ( 1:16 ) and I just configured a Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD for £37322.50 (No FSD). I know that the Model Y is not yet available in the UK, but with Toyota's limited production run of, I believe, 5, 000 of these, I don't see many people in the UK getting one even if they are willing to pay the higher sticker price. The Model Y has a strong chance of wiping out any future sales of this vehicle in the UK. What is Toyota thinking?

95% of care reviewers have no ideea how to drive a car. This car can do amazing cornering at 100-120km/h, super takeovers and is quite sporty. There's nothing confusing about this car, quit your job and start reviewing bicycles.

I watched many on UK Version of RAV-4, and Its pretty strange no one talk about all those very interesting tech options missing in the UK version while other market got those options such as 360 bird-eye view camera, Digital Rearview Mirror and yet the price is same of top trim.

does this mean, UK drivers are not interested in those high-end options? and all those who make car review videos should point out what is missing in the UK version.

What the car market needs - a Prius Prime with 181hp

The Subaru Forester is evidently not "urban friendly" enough to mentioned as the automobile that actually introduced the market to this type of vehicle then?

The madlads from TFL dragraced this Prime with a camry V6. The Prime won.

They also took it offroad on dusty steep hills. It managed surprisingly well. And it was in all electric mode too.

An American reviewer tested the Prime against a 4cyl supra. It managed to keep up. And some instances, overtook the Supra.

I mean… why Toyota… WHY did u put 300hp and gave it AWD? 😂😂😂

Is the model you are testing in this video the Dynamic or Dynamic Premium model?

The rest can’t stand toe to toe with the Toyota, always cost more for premium products . Toyotas up to 10 years warranty says it all

Wait, it is the same price in UK pound as in CAD!? How is that possible?

Yeah higher price but its a Toyota and thus its top reliability. Ill sign over an extra 10k for a vehicle that just wont stop running. Great performance and looks smart.

I can get one of these at an affordable price through my works salary sacrifice scheme. The car retails at over 40 thousand pounds so how much ved will I have to pay? Thanks

great review, its a Toyota so worth the price in my opinion, my 2006 Rav4 has been faultless for 14 years. Cant wait to check it out and maybe place an order.

If Toyota had developed this car in 2010 they would be the leaders better late than never
