iSDT T8 1000W 30A Charger Review & Setup

The iSDT T8 1000W 30A Charger is my top pick when it comes to charging lipo batteries. This quality charger fits in the palm of your hand, has an intuitive interface. Learn how I utilize it to parallel balance charge 1300mah 4S 80C lipo batteries "like a boss" using a charge board.

2019 Update: This charger has been through 400 charge piece cycles and is still alive. I am still using the same power supply. Since this time I have learned that 12v, although it works, is very sub-optimal; if I had to do it again I would get a 24v supply for the T8.

Hi guys, do you know how to charge a 1s battery? I purchased for multi-cell but wanted to use for a 1s lipo battery with no balance cable.

Yo can you power it with a 24v solar pannel?

Hey John, just to let you know the max input current on the T8 is 35A. According to Watt's law P=VI using only a 12V power supply limits you to 12V*35A=420W. So unfortunately you are not getting anywhere near the potential of the 750W power supply. The input voltage on the T8 can range from 12-42V DC, if you were to use a 24V power supply you could get up to 24V*35A=840W with a powerful enough power supply. To get to the full 1000W you would need a 36V power supply 36V*35A=1260W so the power supply would only need to output 27.7A max to reach 1000W.

Hi John, I have what I think is the same setup as you. However, I can't get my min volts to 11.6. Could you tell me what firmware version you are using on the charger? Thanks!

John, please, can you tell me if is possible to get charging without balancing socket of the battery connected ?
(in the situation where you already have an Bms installed on your battery)

I mind, can i use this also as voltage/amperage output controller only?
