I love Tenerife, I’ve been living all year around on the north side of the island, the more than 500 years old city Puerto de la Cruz for ten years now 🏝️☀️ 🇪🇸 Less tourism and even cheaper as well.

The first movies of Planet of the apes was filmed on Tenerife. This is back in 1970`s up near Teide because the landscape is so unique.
Tenerife is my favorite island. Im buying a place there if i ever get enough money.

Welcome to the Canary Islands. High season in the Canaries is more during Xmas time. Cruise ships season in Fuerteventura (where I live), for example, starts in October and ends at the beginning of April. However, we get quite a few tourists in August too.

The high season in the Canaries is in the winter, when all the other beach destinations in Europe are a no-go because they are too cold. That's why it is not as crowded as your previous destinations.

I think I recall that airplanes come in low at one of the more busy beaches in Tenerife. I bet that's either cool or frightening, depending on how one looks at it. That menu at the restaurant you both went to is really nice; I like the way the meals are organized and with clear pictures of each. The price you got for the rental car is insane! I will keep that in mind should the opportunity arise that I visit there. Great video Chris and Carol!🏖

Ohh, I´`m so emotionally touched, because you visited my second home and beloved island of Tenerife🥰 and you are right..all the Canary Island are vulcanic and grown and and do that till now because of the atlantic plate collides with the african plate! much more indentic and cultural is the north with so lovely people and culture and green landscapes with much vinaries, platanofields and histories..meet La Orotava!!!
