Originally, Staind started out as a grunge band. And slowly became more emotional and softer. But they were good... I've always thought Aaron Lewis was a talented singer and guitarist. And he deserves more than what he got. music like this has been forgotten. But those who grew up with it, will never forget the best of times.

I remember the first time I heard this. I bought this album the day it came out back in May 2001. I was 17 driving around blasting this song from my Sony CD Walkman using the tape player gadget thingy into my car stereo. Life was young and simple.

Fun fact about this song, Aaron Lewis wrote this song after watching a fan get molested during one of his shows and not saying anything. This song is pretty much a decree to call out fucked up shit when he sees it and a quick search on youtube will show he is still very much doing that to this day. Badass song with a badass meaning!

A lot of people call Staind nu-metal, post-grunge, or hard rock... but this song is undoubtedly Post-Hardcore. After all, they are a product of the Boston Hardcore scene so that influence definitely comes through on this song. One of the best off Break the Cycle without a doubt.

A truly great song off a great album made even greater by Andy Wallace's mix. Its raw but polished, sloppy but tight, and crunchy but beautiful. Only that ear could have taken an already wonderful song and made it even better. He mixed "Nevermind" and Jeff Buckley's "Grace." We will never hear sounds like this again.
