Your channel is saving my ass big time in Calculus 1! It's not that I don't understand any of it, it just that my calculus lectures at college move so quickly and I don't get time to really practice what I learned. Thanks so much for all of these videos!

Edit: It's now almost a year since I first made this comment. I'm in Calculus 3 now and Pat's videos are STILL coming in handy! You're basically getting me through my requirements for a maths degree, and I couldn't be more grateful.

i think watching these videos BEFORE class is a great way to use them. then come home, and watch them again :)

Dude this helps out so much. my professor, and what I hear most other professors, make it sound so confusing and difficult and I love it when someone can just simplify it to such a basic point so I really only need to know what I need to know and understand it. Thank you so much

Thanks. I appreciate how point slope form would be this useful even in a calculus 1 course on linear approximations.

I got a khan academy/sat ad. Lol. I'm cheating on khan academy but this video was shorter.

You screwed me over. I never go to class and I got an A on my test. The head of the math department thinks I cheated.

(totally joking man I love you so much)

How does that relate to the formula for linear approximation
L(x) = f(a) - f'(a)(x-a)

hey I was wondering if you could post a video in where you use this concept but to find a value without being given a function. Can you post a video in where you find the value using approximation using nothing but the given number. For example Use a linear approximation (or differentials) to estimate the given number.

What? I used the chain rule for 2^x. f'(g(x))g'(x). Inside function derived is 1?? Also general power rule, 2^x is x2^(x-1). Help meeee

"This is gonna be quick" if your video is gonna be quick and hard to follow don't make a tutorial
