I'm grateful we even got a Sly 4, but still bitter about the missed opportunity of not seeing Clockwerk as you travel through time and meet past Coopers. sly 1 literally showed that they all faced Clockwerk! c'mon man!

I love this gaming franchise so much and I always will. I get most nostalgic from the third game since I played it the most as a kid. Looking back though second one hit closer to home, it was so well made and gave such a new and rich experience from where the first game left off. Didn't have access to the first game til I was like 17 but loved it a lot. And the fourth game came out at the worst point of my life, seeing it in the game shop one day (with no idea that a fourth game was being made) filled my whole heart with joy, and because of that I hold that title very close to my heart. It's nowhere near perfect, but it's not as bad as the community put it to be in my opinion.

Sly 2 was amazing. It stayed loyal to Sly 1, made it better, had great writing. Sly 3's writing dipped a bit but the ending was strong.

Thieves in Time felt like an encore than a sequel. It’s virtually identical to the Sly 2/Sly 3 formula with a story that feels rushed. If they took their time and fleshed out a bit more of the gameplay and missions it probably would’ve been a more memorable game.
