του νομού Φλώρινας μόλις 16 χλμ από την πόλη της Φλώρινας.

The patterned blankets, the lantern on the wall, the floral tablecloth, the winding staircase, but most of all, the balcony, remind me of my recent visit to my Baba and Dedo’s abandoned house, much like this one, (in a village of Kostur) and standing on the balcony overlooking the spectacular mountain views, visualising another life. There were still family photos on the mantlepiece, the one in the centre of a ‘deca belgaci’ son who never saw his parents again, and I wondered what life would have been like had I grown up there with my grandparents and great grandparents whom I never knew. I still feel the emptiness of never having grandparents in my life. The beautiful background music haunts me as it evokes many memories but I still love this amazing piece of music.

The heartbreaking scenes of this house, once some family's warm and loving home, whisper of the thriving and bustling life of the community of the Macedonian village of Bouf, just a few generations ago. Now scattered all over the globe.😢💔😥
