How about shrinking it? I have small icons with too much space. Dragging down doesn't seem to work.

How do I make the taskbar smaller though. You showed how to make it bigger. It's already twice the size it needs to be by default.

It doesn't work like that if you have a double edged pointer it still will not move, even if you have unlocked the taskbar.
