Trying out the Toshiba Canvio Advance 2TB Drive

I needed a backup drive for my Macbook Pro, but didn't feel the need to grab an SSD as they are still a bit pricey. I found this drive for just $58 on Amazon and bought it.

While still limited as far as speed, this drive was perfect for backing up my entire laptop, which it did in about 30 minutes. So about 800GB of data, so I am pretty happy with this purchase.

This drive comes in 4 different colors as well as 1TB, 2TB & 4TB storage sizes.

I already owned a Toshiba Canvio 2TB HDD, and it was purchased on April 2, 2022, and it is still "in good condition".

My mother has a Toshiba hard drive similar to this, if not this exactly, and it is white.

I bought it but am not familiar with that connector. Can you please show how you connected it to your device? I have nothing matching those fittings.

Hi, thank you for your good video, I want to buy a hard drive to store all my data for a long time! Between a few models I don't know which to buy like: this model or model ready(for anti shock!) Or ADATA (680or 700. 720) or anti-impact or shock proof! Is this model anti-shock? Doesn't it break quickly (say they'll break down after 1 or 2 years)? Or buy shock-proof models? I'm afraid to choose the wrong model and all my information is lost, toshiba models here are all Made in China, is it the same model or are they fake? I hope I've made my point.
