Things like this really take the joyfullness and innocence of collecting tcgs. I miss the days when Pokemon collecting wasn't dictated by how much money you have in your pocket.

Only difference between CT scanning and resealing… you can tell when something has been resealed

It's bad, I can't think of a single pro for a common collector. Maybe someone who buys $250, 000 base set boxes I guess could need them scanned to be sure its authentic. All I wish for with this is that the CT scanner burning out and the company has to replace it every month for $500, 000.

It’s $75 per pack + $15 for the actual images/imaging software use so $90 a pack. No it will NOT get cheaper. This is medical and industrial grade equipment. Government subsidies and insurance companies make sure of that. I just made a 6 minute video of everything people AREN’T saying about ct scanning a few hours ago.

I think it needs a light on it. No way should anyone be spending $1k on a vintage pack after they scanned it for a few bucks and knows nothing is in it

Sadly this opens up the hobby for a bunch of scamming, so unless you’re buying from a trusted seller, it will be hard to find any legit vintage 😔

This is so disgusting in itself, being able to scan packs, but who's to say that they won't swap out your packs. You send them an Evo skies with a moonbreon (that you don't know) and they can just send you a garbodor back 🤮

with this technology base set packs will cease to exist for the most part. if people scan the whole booster and pull out the hit packs, why would anyone buy the packs that they're selling that have been scanned? it would be obvious that the pack they're buying has a 0% chance of having ANYTHING that makes buying the pack worth it. all the cards you get would be bulk and quite literally just "expensive cardboard."

I think CT scanning will ruin the hobby, absolutely disgusting, its worse than weighing. Its hard enough to trust people to not weigh packs. Vintage sealed prices will not be the same :( It takes the fun out of opening packs, why wouldn't you just buy the singles? I do think that Pokémon company will add something to newer packs (like a sheet of metal) to prevent this in the future. KD

Fun fact: you can’t see in a CT Scan if it’s a potential PSA10 so that’s good for thought. But still pisses me off they still do this.

This is where I see eBay sellers getting screwed as I could buy a "heavy" pack, get it scanned and if it's not the holo I want, return it and I'm only out the scanning fee
