ShopTalk: How Old is Dave? Intel vs AMD! NPU vs GPU!

This ShopTalk conversation touches on dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, troubleshooting his Prusa 3D printer, and the intricacies of his LED projects, to how ChatGPT helps with scripts in his YouTube episodes. They also explore the nuances of autism, ADHD, and sociopathy, while fielding fun questions about tech setups, Raspberry Pi projects, and Intel vs. AMD preferences. Wrapping up, Dave teases a future episode on the Stuxnet virus. Don't forget to subscribe to Dave’s Attic and hit the bell for notifications on new episodes every Friday!

"Sitting on the throne" has other connotations here in the UK (maybe there as well) LOL

...vs. Lysdexia. (Thumbnail typo). Thanks, as always!

You need 1 additional seat for the ending clip Dave, a Rockingchair with wheels so someone can rock-n-roll😁.

I hope I didn't miss this if you already addressed it, but
subject: Car Stuff! Engine management, PLMs, ECUs, PicoScope?, CANBUS, etc.
Have you ever dipped your toe into that space?
A long time ago you referenced fixing a transmission shifting bug. Not enough of that on YT, especially with the treatment you usually give things.
Cheers!

Mentioning Ben Eater makes me love Dave even more.

My son has ASD (severe, nonverbal), so I came to your stuff through the ASD content and, while my computer engineer self enjoys the tech stuff, I view the computer content mostly as a welcome interruption.

Hey Dave, for the guy that asked on 18:21, there is an appearance setting in the Windows 11's terminal called "Retro terminal effects" that achieve almost the same look in Windows. Always great listening you on both subjects (ASD and computers)!

I would watch your build videos!! Also, maybe add a low pass filter to your audio? I get a lot of sub 160hz that makes it hard to hear sometimes.

I enjoy the work you've done with the LEDs in your shop & around the house.

I've been out of programming (i.e. Basic, Assemby, & C++), since the mid-1990's, working in the Telecom Industry for the past 27-years, mostly as a Technician & Applications Engineer. Any suggestions for what language or platform to get acquainted with, which lends itself to LED & Equipment Control/Management Projects?

As always, thanks for all of your efforts.

You can have podcasts as videos also and not just audio. A RSS feed of these videos for your podcast app would be awesome. Even your whole Dave's attic channel or even the other channel as a video podcast would be amazing! You would need to host the video somewhere. This would put you on Apple Podcasts and such. Would you do that sometime in the future? I'm one of your neighbors in Redmond, Wa. :)

Dave, have you consider trying out the Dell 27 Gaming Monitor - G2725D to compare against the Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt™ Hub Monitor - U4025QW?

I would also like to see this as audio version with an RSS feed.
