Homework:
Here, the mode is 35.
So, the modal class = 30-40
Now, the lower limit of the modal class, l = 30
the frequency of the modal class, f1 = 16
the frequency of the class preceding the modal class, f0 = x
the frequency of the class succeeding the modal class, f2 = 12
the class size = 10
Applying the formula for mode. we get
l + [(f1 - f0)/(2f1 - f0 - f2)]*(h) = 35
30 + [(16 - x)/(2*16 - x - 12)]*(10) = 35
[(16 - x)/(32 - x - 12)]*(10) = 5
[(16 - x)/(20 - x)]*(10) = 5
(16 - x)*(10) = 100 - 5x
160 - 10x = 100 - 5x
-5x = -60
x = 12
Therefore, the missing frequency is 12.

AS MODE IS 35, SO MODAL CLASS IS 30-40
L= 30, H= 10, f1= 16, f0=x, f2= 12
MODE = L+ [ f1-f0/2f1-f0-f2] * h = 35
30+ [16-x/20-x]*10 = 35
[16-x/20-x] * 10 = 5
16-x/20-x= 1/2
32-2x= 20-x
x= 12 is the missing frequency
